Topic:  Talking about daily routines

The conversation will center on this theme, but it can naturally move on to other subjects

Structure: This will be the most common structure during the conversation

  • Present

Example: (Yo) voy al gimnasio los domingos. I go to the gym on Sundays

It is used for actions that happen regularly or daily habits or things that are generally true

Vocabulario clave

  • despertarse = to wake up
  • Levantarse = to get up
  • ducharse= to shower
  • desayunar = to have breakfast
  • trabajar = to work
  • estudiar = to study
  • Almorzar = to have lunch
  • Cenar = to have dinner
  • Acostarse = to go to bed
  • siempre = always
  • normalmente = usually
  • A veces = sometimes
  • Nunca = Never
  • Por la mañana = in the morning
  • Por la tarde = In the afternoon
  • Por la noche = at night

Extra grammar note: verbs ending in se (levantarse) are reflexive and always need to be accompanied with a reflexive pronoun for instance:

me levanto temprano en semana = I get up early on weekdays.
