Objetivo: Talk about music, practice past tense verbs

The conversation will center on this theme, but it can naturally move on to other subjects

We will cover this topic in three sessions (this approach helps with memorizing new vocabulary). How to prepare for each lesson:

Lesson 1: review  the lesson’s vocabulary and  prepare questions.

Vocabulario clave: festival - festival, concierto - concert, escenario - stage, sonido - sound, interpretar - perform, en vivo - Live, repertorio - setlist, ambiente - atmosphere, energía - energy, público - audience.

Lesson 2: Prepare an answer for: 

describe un evento de música en vivo al que hayas asistido - Describe a live music event you have attended

Lesson 3: revew the sample sentences

punto gramatical: pretérito indefinido and pretérito imperfecto

ejemplos: 

• yo fui a un musical y descubrí nuevos artistas y diferentes estilos de música - I went to a festival and discovered new artists and different music styles.

• El artista interpretaba bien y mantuvo al público emocionado - The artist performed well and kept the crowd excited.

• la música en vivo sonaba más fuerte que cualquier versión grabada - Live music sounds stronger than any recorded version.

• los efectos hicieron la atmósfera del show asombrosa - The effects made the show’s atmosphere amazing.

• la energía del público hizo el concierto aún mejor - The crowd’s energy made the concert even better.

• el repertorio mantuvo al público emocionado de principio a fin - The setlist kept the audience excited from the beginning to the end.

• ver mi banda favorita en vivo fue algo que nunca olvidaré - Watching my favorite band live was something I’ll never forget.
